Per-Åke Vik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 22nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Jonatan Ekgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Per-Åke Vik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Vik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes Arild IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Per-Åke Vik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
