In the 10th match minute, Uberlandia-DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Videl in the 21st minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A collision led to Uberlandia-DMZ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Adhemar Nóbrega hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Uberlandia-DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Freitas in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Augusto Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 39th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Zé Augusto Duarte however easily saved by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Freitas made a kick off. Uberlandia-DMZ's Zé Augusto Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Augusto Duarte. Uberlandia-DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Escribano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Samuel Pontes with Narciso Zonta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Cristo Videl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Cristo Videl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Pedro Freitas sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uberlandia-DMZ's Zé Augusto Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 78th minute of play. A hard shot 81 in the game by Pedro Freitas from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. After 84 minutes Uberlandia-DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. Zé Augusto Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Cazalla's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Uberlandia-DMZ's zone, Maximiliano Escribano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Augusto Duarte came out of the goal and Maximiliano Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Augusto Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Alberto Gisbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Gisbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uberlandia-DMZ's Zé Augusto Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 96th minute of play. Uruguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
