Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Radomir Gajewski hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Mekki Item didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luz Tejedor went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Peru booed when Bandung Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position.
