An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Txatxu in the 16th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Xv de Piracicaba's Sebastian Sandberg. Sebastian Sandberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Rocchi in the 58th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Jeronimo Txatxu put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. When Benedykt Saint was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
