Garrapatita Futbol's Hermengildo Jaume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. Hermengildo Jaume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Garrapatita Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hermengildo Jaume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Garoa in the 28th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Garrapatita Futbol's Hermengildo Jaume. Hermengildo Jaume was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play forced Garrapatita Futbol's goalkeeper Hermengildo Jaume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Garrapatita Futbol players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermengildo Jaume having to make a save. Hermengildo Jaume made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 56th minute. Hermengildo Jaume made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Hermengildo Jaume didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in Garrapatita Futbol's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermengildo Jaume came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Garrapatita Futbol's Hermengildo Jaume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 68th minute of play. Hermengildo Jaume made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Garoa in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes Garrapatita Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Astor Corderun. Camilo Gisbert made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. 91 minutes into the game, Vinicio Txeru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garrapatita Futbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Hermengildo Jaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Garrapatita Futbol.
