Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho de Amaral in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lilian Vântu. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Xurupita FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ruben Bemabe hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Coelho. Xurupita FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Xurupita FC's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Coelho came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 41st minute of the match. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Lilian Vântu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Gustavo Coelho made a huge save. In the 60th minute Lilian Vântu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xurupita FC's Gustavo Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Xurupita FC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustavo Coelho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustavo Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Xurupita FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lautaro Mancebo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Xurupita FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Joel Gaona scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Coelho, making the score, 1-2. Xurupita FC's Christian Lima was substituted for Lilian Vântu. Xurupita FC's 姜响昆 was substituted for Valer Muscaș. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo Coelho having to make a save. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
