Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play forced SAS's goalkeeper Guipuzkoa Velamines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Guipuzkoa Velamines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SAS's Oskitz Tendiero shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walme Trillanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caetano Esquide ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskitz Tendiero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAS's goalie prevented a goal. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. In the 46th minute, Vincent Guixe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oskitz Tendiero made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, SAS's goalkeeper Guipuzkoa Velamines had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Guipuzkoa Velamines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Caetano Esquide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SAS getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Adolfo Larrave hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 81st minute of the game was made by Guillermo Mariano with Tomas Illescas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Guipuzkoa Velamines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Venezuela players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
