When Juventus EC's Walmyr Loyola, in the 11th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Juventus EC. Camilo Gaos made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Juventus EC's Magno de Moraes. 22 minutes into the game, Juventus EC's Walmyr Loyola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Juventus EC's Magno de Moraes. Walmyr Loyola might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmyr Loyola ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 43rdth minute of the game Walmyr Loyola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bilbo Arzube was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-2. When Walmyr Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Juventus EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Loyola couldn't finish the play. Juventus EC made a substitution. Rosendo Gervaso replaced Walmyr Loyola. Juventus EC's Nilson Leite was substituted for Luís Ramalho. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rosendo Gervaso made the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomm Thys who took care of the corner kick. Leopoldo Perez was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Rosendo Gervaso sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Rosendo Gervaso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Perez went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute Rosendo Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Gervaso in the 89th minute of play. Juventus EC were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomm Thys took the corner. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Gervaso in the 96th minute of the match. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Juventus EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
