In the 13th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Walkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Alvarado. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Walkowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xander-Paul Van Linthoudt in the 32nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Pierre-Alexandre De Marrez sent off a good shot on target. After 36 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Walkowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Peru booed when AFC Irocha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elof Vidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibau Cornelis in the 40th minute of play. AFC Irocha's Damian Walkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Alexandre De Marrez in the 46th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre-Alexandre De Marrez was the one to do the kick off.
