The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Frichoso saved Club Real Cantera from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Club Real Cantera's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Gaudencio Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Emanuel Phelipe sent off a good shot on target. Gaudencio Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Emanuel Phelipe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Real Cantera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club Real Cantera's zone, Kevin Mastache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Frichoso came out of the goal and Kevin Mastache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaudencio Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Ascencio in the 59th minute of play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Colombia reached it. 95 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Phelipe came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Real Cantera.
