Mexico were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after GERMİYAN SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Leonardo Leoz made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that GERMİYAN SK's Önder Kamuran managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 15th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 17th minute, GERMİYAN SK's Ademar de Godoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of GERMİYAN SK booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademar de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ademar de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenan Arslanoğlu during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, GERMİYAN SK's Kenan Arslanoğlu got a free kick in the 28th minute. 吴沙辉 kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Ademar de Godoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Ademar de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademar de Godoi. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarkan Gümüşcü in the 52nd minute of play. Önder Kamuran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Önder Kamuran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Santana hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in GERMİYAN SK's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Önder Kamuran came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to GERMİYAN SK getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Metin Ünlü hit a great ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Önder Kamuran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 83rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Önder Kamuran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 88 minutes into the match, GERMİYAN SK's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Önder Kamuran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes GERMİYAN SK got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Santana.
