Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Juan Almeida kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Wellington Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Riograndense FC's Lino Torres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. Tião Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Riograndense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Wellington Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wellington Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 37th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Alan Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riograndense FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Raúl de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Raúl de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wellington Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 55th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Wellington Sena in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Benê Arósio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wellington Sena came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig. But to his dismay, Lautaro Puig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Torres in the 75th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Juan Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Almeida in the 90th minute of the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Torres went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
