Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Paulino Lamberto made the kick off and thus started the match. Cecilio Jax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecilio Jax prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cecilio Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 5th minute of play. When Peru's Luz Tejedor in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Martin de Tucuman's goalie prevented a goal. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Peru's Luz Tejedor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cecilio Jax came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cecilio Jax came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Cecilio Jax came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Cecilio Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax. Cecilio Jax was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cecilio Jax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Selmo in the 41st minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Luciano Selmo sent off a good shot on target. When Peru's Milagros Fraga in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Martin de Tucuman's goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Cecilio Urbez got a throw-in 50 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ubaldo Veto. Paulino Lamberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Marcial Munio replaced Ulises Dominguez. Eriberto Osasun hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes San Martin de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Ederono. In the 70th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's Marcial Munio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcial Munio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Munio in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Munio in the 85th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
