Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xiboquinha FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 8th minute. Venezuela's Alex Chicote got his second yellow card of the match in the 12th minute. The referee ordered Alex Chicote off the ground. In the 13th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Tage Backlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Xiboquinha FC's Jeremias Preuss got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. César Moraes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tage Backlund let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 25th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jeremias Preuss hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tage Backlund was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tage Backlund's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Backlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Backlund in the 59th minute of play. But to his dismay, César Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Andrey Villasante made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. When Xiboquinha FC's Tage Backlund in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Backlund in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Preuss in the 84th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tage Backlund in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Rony Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Xiboquinha FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
