The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Felipe Ros a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of October 04 booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamílton Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Hamílton Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toni Ramos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Panama booed when October 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Miguel Miralles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Rezende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

56 minutes into the match, October 04's goalkeeper Hamílton Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Hamílton Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, October 04's Tião Amaral got a free kick in the 60th minute. Hamílton Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 61st minute. October 04's Hamílton Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save October 04 from getting a goal against them. Tião Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. October 04 made a substitution. Ruy Lira replaced Faustão dos Santos. Abraham Alguacil came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hamílton Rezende could save by the left post. Hamílton Rezende made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. October 04's Hamílton Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 80th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Hamílton Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Schmidt in the 96th minute of play. Panama were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
