The long shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 7th minute really tested Hamílton Rezende's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Munhoz in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Panama booed when October 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Hamílton Rezende in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hamílton Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 34th minute of the match. Abraham Alguacil succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 37th playminute. Hamílton Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 42nd minute of play. In the 48th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodolfo Munhoz to make the kick off. Tomas Berganza scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hamílton Rezende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, October 04's Pedro Paulo Paes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Durvalino Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 65th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Hamílton Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. October 04 made a substitution. Wesley Teles replaced Pedro Paulo Paes. Durvalino Albuquerque hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 81st minute. Hamílton Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes October 04 got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Teles. Panama walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
