Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Anderson Machado got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rodolfo Munhoz. After 54 minutes, Durvalino Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the October 04 and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Hamílton Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Hamílton Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of October 04 booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Cabal didn't get a good kick on the ball.
