Apocalipse FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Ruy Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Antônio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apocalipse FC's attentive Doriva Loyola managed to snatch the ball when Abel Carballo made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Antônio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Apocalipse FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Patrick Sampaio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Apocalipse FC's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apocalipse FC's attentive Doriva Loyola managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Tiago Gabriel Brodel's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Gabriel Brodel helped the player get up and apologised. Tiago Gabriel Brodel hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the game Ruy Tinoco made a throw-in which André Luiz de Moraes played forward. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Apocalipse FC's Doriva Loyola. In the 35th minute of the game Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in which Lautaro Puig played forward. Antônio de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Apocalipse FC's Doriva Loyola. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Apocalipse FC's Doriva Loyola quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 61 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Tiago Gabriel Brodel hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ruy Tinoco got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luís Fábio Vale. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio de Azevedo. Antônio de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After having played for 73 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 minutes, Abel Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Apocalipse FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Apocalipse FC's Antônio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 92nd minute of play. The Costa Rica support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
