After 3 played minutes Juventudes Libertárias got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio da Silveira. 6 minutes into the game, Juventudes Libertárias's Agostinho Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of play forced Juventudes Libertárias's goalkeeper Mauro Eliazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Almeida in the 15th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ritvaldis Rau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ritvaldis Rau to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lúcio da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventudes Libertárias's protests and gave Lúcio da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Juventudes Libertárias got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio da Silveira. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Almeida in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Kauan Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 76thth minute of the game Agostinho Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Almeida in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Almeida came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, Agostinho Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Almeida came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juventudes Libertárias were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
