The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Germano Pena in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 21 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radoslaw Oleszak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Faria in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Bestia Negra's Radoslaw Oleszak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diego Cardozo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Emmanuel Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radoslaw Oleszak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filomeno Martxot in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match La Bestia Negra got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matheus Cunha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, La Bestia Negra's Radoslaw Oleszak got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radoslaw Oleszak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 54 minute of play. Radoslaw Oleszak was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. 84 minutes into the match, La Bestia Negra's goalkeeper Radoslaw Oleszak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Ulf Möller made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
