With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vahap Atasoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 7th minute of play forced тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя's goalkeeper Vahap Atasoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serbülent Selmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя's Yenal Evvel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yenal Evvel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yenal Evvel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Vahap Atasoy went to the wrong direction when Edmundo Espiga was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 26th minute, Serbülent Selmi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 36th minute Moises Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahap Atasoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vahap Atasoy saved тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Mustafa Birol Algın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 64 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mustafa Birol Algın hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Vahap Atasoy in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vahap Atasoy saved тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя from getting behind. Serbülent Selmi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Haydar Bakırcıoğlu made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя's goalkeeper Vahap Atasoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, тαçѕız кяαℓ gєяι ∂öηüуσя was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Birol Algın to maneuver through the defense. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Vahap Atasoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Vahap Atasoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras.
