After a rather tough play, PiCaNTeS FC's Ovidio Ignazio got a free kick in the 39th minute. Alfredo Otoniel made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PiCaNTeS FC's Alfredo Otoniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arana Álvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 55th minute of the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Alfredo Otoniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PiCaNTeS FC's Everardo Calvino was substituted for Arana Álvarez. Alfredo Otoniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Everardo Calvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Everardo Calvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Everardo Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Otoniel having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Otoniel. PiCaNTeS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Ignazio in the 75th minute of play. After 81 minutes PiCaNTeS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. In the 86th minute, Ovidio Ignazio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 2-1. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Mexico players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
