In the 3rd minute, Zhao Bing Cheng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Igor Lebas sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Lebas got free with Marco Day in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zhao Bing Cheng's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zhao Bing Cheng helped the player get up and apologised. 27 minutes into the match, KaoS Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Pierluigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lluis Companys in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 35th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Igor Lebas sent off a good shot on target. Monty Rogers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierluigi Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Narciso Noe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and Narciso Noe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Igor Lebas made the kick off in the second half. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save KaoS Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Noe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 54th minute of play. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 59th minute of play. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lluis Companys in the 66th minute of play. KaoS Futbol Club's Igor Lebas got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KaoS Futbol Club's Amancio Semeno was substituted for Albino Olayo. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. KaoS Futbol Club's Andres Baresi was substituted for León Ponzio. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Lebas in the 75th minute of the match. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 76th minute of play. After 82 played minutes KaoS Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Zhao Bing Cheng. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. In the 85th minute of the match, Khalid Parry tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierluigi Buffon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 89 minutes into the match, KaoS Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Khalid Parry came free, but Pierluigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
