Modesto Munio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st play minute Cristian Sancho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cai Qian. 0-5. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ombucito AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
