Benito Madrid's late challenge caught a FairPlay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Madrid helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Benito Madrid got a free kick in the 20th minute. Rafa Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FairPlay FC booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Perez in the 27th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Jacinto Perez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bolivia's Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute Marcel Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Jacinto Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Eduardo Fontirroig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FairPlay FC the free kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ronaldinho de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Carlos Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. Carlos Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Ferrant in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by FairPlay FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Fernandino was slow to take the kick. During this time Bolivia's players had a chance to rest. The throw-in from Edson da Fonseca in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bolivia's Julio Chicote. In the 87th minute of the match, Rafa Loyola got a very nice opportunity to score, but Camilo Freixa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, FairPlay FC's Nildo Sabóia got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 94th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Fontirroig to maneuver through the defense. When FairPlay FC's Jacinto Perez in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bolivia's goalie prevented a goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
