Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zeferino Igrejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Telinhos's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Campus Douro Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Telinhos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeferino Igrejas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Campus Douro Academy's Altino Tristão got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 47th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Campus Douro Academy defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeferino Igrejas.
