In the 13th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Horacio Lander. But to his dismay, Horacio Lander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nemesio Gonchan came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th match minute, Atletas Campesinos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Barros to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Nemesio Gonchan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Ur got free with Benito Sanz in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Horacio Lander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Atletas Campesinos F.C. booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Nemesio Gonchan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Nemesio Gonchan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 29th minute of play. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Gonchan having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Horacio Lander notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Denis Ur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Evaristo Pelagius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Roderigo in the 64th minute of play. Bernabe Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 81 minutes into the match, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Nemesio Gonchan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis managed to work through Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Axel Tasis dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 84 played minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Constancio. After 85 played minutes Eliseo Noboa rounded Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 5-1. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Lander went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Pelagius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Lander in the 97th minute of the match.
