Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Congo Bongo getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Froilan Iaki hit a great ball. Omar Erramun hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sancho in the 11th minute of play. Damaso Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute Damaso Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Máté Márton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damaso Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Congo Bongo's Máté Márton. Máté Márton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Erramun to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Sancho in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Máté Márton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Damaso Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Congo Bongo's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Froilan Iaki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Damaso Sancho took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Sancho in the 60th minute of play. Damaso Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Congo Bongo were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Froilan Iaki took the corner. Congo Bongo's Froilan Iaki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damaso Sancho's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wu Hong Ning didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Oidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Iaki. Wu Hong Ning kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Máté Márton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Oidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máté Márton having to interfere.
