Ayoví Costoya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Camilo Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes in the game, Ayoví Costoya fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Club Puerto Quito were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diego Narbona took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Diego Narbona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The corner led Club Puerto Quito's Erdinç Hayırlı to a score. 2-0 in the 33rd minute. In the 38th match minute, Club Puerto Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufino Giron to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mauricio Precioso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mauricio Precioso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 43rd minute of play. After 47 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sainz to maneuver through the defense. Rufino Giron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauricio Precioso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Club Puerto Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Mauricio Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufino Giron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Puerto Quito were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diego Narbona took the corner. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Puerto Quito had won after a very even match.
