Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Diego Tenorio kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho de Almeida having to interfere. Ronaldinho de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 35th minute of the match. After 40 minutes of play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldinho de Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho de Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldinho de Almeida was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hector Covarrubias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 48 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76thth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bayern Lessa - u21's Ronaldinho de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xavier Zoido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
