An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Citrullo in the 16th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Spor Las Huevas booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Casaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehis Nugin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Citrullo in the 29th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Alan Tamayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehis Nugin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Thiago Pliego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlo Citrullo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Spor Las Huevas's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Mehis Nugin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spor Las Huevas's Caio Hornilla was substituted for Urtzi Zamorano. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Spor Las Huevas's Mehis Nugin. Mehis Nugin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Chile were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Mehis Nugin managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Spor Las Huevas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zoilo Hoz in the 57th minute. Caio Hornilla was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Alan Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Hornilla in the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehis Nugin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Spor Las Huevas's Caio Hornilla in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mehis Nugin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 93rd minute. Mehis Nugin made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Mehis Nugin made a huge save.
