The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. After 32 minutes, Jaromír Nosek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pardubice Hurricanes and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrik Jirout to make the kick off. Pardubice Hurricanes's Patrik Jirout got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas had several of the Pardubice Hurricanes's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed René Švéda as he didn't even see the shot coming. Pardubice Hurricanes's René Švéda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 67th minute of play. Patrik Jirout scored 1-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiří Dusil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, Pardubice Hurricanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaromír Nosek to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over René Švéda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pardubice Hurricanes's goalie prevented a goal. René Švéda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 93rd minute.
