Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Gaona kicked off to start the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Froila in the 6th minute of play. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Donato Teyo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 17th minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Fabricio Stephen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Sergio Jobo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mexico's Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move. Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Stephen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Águilas Poblanas from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Fabricio Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Zorita scored 1-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Stephen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabricio Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Leonardo Leoz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The corner led to Águilas Poblanas's Godofredo Eduino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Vicente Cordeara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Fabricio Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Águilas Poblanas's zone, Facundo Cadaval stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Stephen came out of the goal and Facundo Cadaval tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute, Márcio Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Fabricio Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 69th minute of play. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabricio Stephen. Fabricio Stephen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Teyo in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabricio Stephen saved Águilas Poblanas from getting behind. After 81 minutes Águilas Poblanas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Raimundo Ladio charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Ladio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, Raimundo Ladio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabricio Stephen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. 88 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Stephen. Fabricio Stephen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Fabricio Stephen. Águilas Poblanas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mexico had played much better football throughout.
