Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Peña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ermengol Alberete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ksawery Furgal in the 26th minute of play. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermengol Alberete, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Socavon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fehmi Erdemer in the 33rd minute. Ksawery Furgal struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Socavon FC. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermengol Alberete to make the kick off. After 52 minutes Socavon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Cassius Byrne almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Socavon FC's Sindo Porregimon did a great save. Socavon FC's Sindo Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 55th minute of play. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Socavon FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Monty Rogers was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Socavon FC's goalie and right to Diego Bradley. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Socavon FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ksawery Furgal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Socavon FC made a substitution. Bernaldo Maquibar replaced Marquez Dolarea. If Sam Campbell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. Artal Baltanas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
