Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Fortín de Floresta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan managed to reach the ball for a save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvador Hats made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Hats in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Manex in the 53rd minute of play. Wu Bing Fei charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wu Bing Fei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to El Fortín de Floresta getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Wu Bing Fei hit a great ball. After 58 minutes of play, El Fortín de Floresta's Salvador Hats made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, El Fortín de Floresta's Alvino Tinto got a free kick in the 60th minute. When El Fortín de Floresta's Delmar Manex in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 76th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Fortín de Floresta's goalkeeper Santos Orlan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Alvino Tinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. The audience was convinced that Salvador Hats's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Selmo in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
