To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ando Koppelmaa made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Filip Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canada's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Edwards was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Balasi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Jan Dixon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Balasi was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Erubiel Claus succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Canada walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
