Jacinto Olentzaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After 10 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cecilio Seber went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Fenix's Jacinto Olentzaro got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cecilio Seber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Fenix's Jacinto Olentzaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Club Atletico Fenix's Anders Larsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of play. Anders Larsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Costa went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Club Atletico Fenix booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lukasz Fafinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Club Atletico Fenix made a substitution. Viteazul Joita replaced Romeo Cresenciano. In the 61st minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Olentzaro in the 76th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Atletico Fenix booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anders Larsson having to make a save. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eskil Åkesson in the 84th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eskil Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Olentzaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Fenix's goalkeeper Anders Larsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Joshua Secada got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anders Larsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atletico Fenix fully deserved thier win.
