After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Caco Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Tomé Oliveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Oliveira came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magno Nunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Caco Guimarães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Tomé Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magno Nunes in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sandro Alvarenga made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Magno Nunes immediately put the ball in play. In the 62nd minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Caco Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Magno Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Tomé Oliveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomé Oliveira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Caco Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomé Oliveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Campidelis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. were the better team. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
