The audience was convinced that Bruno Beugnet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute of the match Equipo got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Equipo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Beugnet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Equipo's Bruno Beugnet. But to his dismay, Bruno Beugnet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Equipo made a substitution. Harun Elçin replaced Emiliano Lluterio. Equipo were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juliusz Cezar took the corner. The corner ended in Juliusz Cezar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares did a great save.
