Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yan do Valle. Yan do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ubatuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yan do Valle. Ubatuba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Yan do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute. Yan do Valle made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yan do Valle. Agustín Saelices showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Yan do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Ubatuba's Yan do Valle got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ubatuba's Yan do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Ubatuba from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ubatuba's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan do Valle came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubatuba's Natã do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Yan do Valle made a huge save. 79 minutes into the match, Ubatuba's goalkeeper Yan do Valle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. After 86 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Ubatuba's Yan do Valle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Yan do Valle was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-10. Ecuador played a much better game than Ubatuba and deserved their victory. The Ubatuba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
