In the 5th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Wonderkids's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Didi Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didi Dionísio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Wonderkids's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Wonderkids's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Didi Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wonderkids's Zülfü Eygül got a free kick in the 25th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Borys Trac. Didi Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. Avram Radevski's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avram Radevski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th match minute, Wonderkids was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avram Radevski to maneuver through the defense. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, 罗挺树 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wonderkids fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Wonderkids's Avram Radevski got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didi Dionísio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wonderkids's 罗挺树 got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Borys Trac made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 罗挺树, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
