An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Quintan in the 24th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Luisito Quintan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Gelu Nicolau notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. A nice corner shot did that Eugenio Vermudo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Vermudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Luisito Quintan sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Quintan to make the kick off. A hard shot by Eugenio Vermudo from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 60thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Central's Salih Orus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 75 played minutes Central got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Vermudo. In the 80th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salih Orus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovani Lo Celso took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Giovani Lo Celso sent off a good shot on target. Giovani Lo Celso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovani Lo Celso in the 97th minute. The Central players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
