Rubén Martínez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Camilo Freixa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rubén Martínez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Honorio Droguett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubén Martínez in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Freixa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rubén Martínez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Camilo Freixa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 20 minutes into the game, Rubén Martínez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camilo Freixa. Rubén Martínez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Joshua Miralles kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Camilo Freixa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubén Martínez went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Rubén Martínez took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Rubén Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Freixa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubén Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Martínez in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, one of Bolivia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Honorio Droguett placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Rubén Martínez came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Colo-Colo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubén Martínez couldn't finish the play. Faustão Prestes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 46 minutes, Alfonso de la Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolivia and the Colo-Colo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso de la Cruz.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Rubén Martínez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubén Martínez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubén Martínez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes, Rubén Martínez made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee gave Colo-Colo a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Honorio Droguett, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bolivia's Camilo Freixa. 7-0. Colo-Colo's José Julio Almeida was substituted for Marco-Antonio Etcheverry. In the 78th minute, Ivo Basay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colo-Colo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Ivo Basay scored 9-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Freixa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Ivo Basay made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. 89 minutes into the match, Honorio Droguett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Freixa. The audience was convinced that Ivo Basay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Ivo Basay notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Bolivia's Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Colo-Colo fully deserved thier win.
