The tension between the Guns And Roses and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Epifanio Hartz kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 10 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Librado was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Librado having to interfere. Epifanio Hartz got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Epifanio Hartz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Guns And Roses defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Librado. The Guns And Roses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Librado should have stopped the shot. Guns And Roses's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Angelito Demaria in the 28th minute. After taking down the ball on Guns And Roses's corner Angelito Demaria fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of play forced Guns And Roses's goalkeeper Claudio Librado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Joel Espiridion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Claudio Librado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 72 played minutes Guns And Roses got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Enetz. Claudio Librado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Daniel Zorita. After 79 played minutes Guns And Roses got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Enetz. After having played for 81 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Guns And Roses's goalkeeper Claudio Librado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 85th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador played a much better game than Guns And Roses and deserved their victory. The Guns And Roses players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
