Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute Descamisados CF were awarded a corner. Jairo Baraquiel went to the cornerflag to take it. Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Jairo Baraquiel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jairo Baraquiel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Lawrence Lawless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. Lawrence Lawless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lawrence Lawless made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Anselmo Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Descamisados CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Thomas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play forced Descamisados CF's goalkeeper Lawrence Lawless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Baraquiel got free with Rolando Noboa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Lawrence Lawless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Julian Murillo could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Lawrence Lawless however easily saved by the left post. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Lawrence Lawless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Descamisados CF's Lawrence Lawless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Descamisados CF's Celestino Artaldo was substituted for Jairo Baraquiel. Descamisados CF's Felix Răica was substituted for Anselmo Thomas. Descamisados CF made a substitution. Adrian Txartiko replaced Primeiro Imperiale. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lawrence Lawless prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Răica came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Artaldo in the 79th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Txartiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 89th minute Adrian Txartiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Descamisados CF's Placido Claris got a free kick in the 91st minute. Eliseo Mina took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lawrence Lawless. Descamisados CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
