Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Antal Földes made the kick off which started today's match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Agustín Saelices's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Müjdat Semin was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Müjdat Semin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 20th minute, Antal Földes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Müjdat Semin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play forced TheGazette's goalkeeper Müjdat Semin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Földes in the 32nd minute of play. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Földes, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. With a little luck, TheGazette's Müjdat Semin got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Müjdat Semin. That made the score 1-1 after 52 minutes of play. Müjdat Semin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 played minutes TheGazette got a freekick which was hit by Adriano de Godoi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Földes in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 70th minute Geovanni Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Müjdat Semin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Müjdat Semin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81stth minute of the game Antal Földes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Gerson Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Gerson Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TheGazette the free kick. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
