Colo-Colo's Salomone Comas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocco Owen in the 24th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Roland Vodanovic put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett.
