After 3 minutes of play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Belgrano de Pibasog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 16 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgrano de Pibasog's Bernardo Raggio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 17th minute of play. Clemente Gaizkine made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. In the 25th minute, Judas Verón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Judas Verón in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 35th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Raggio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abram Sarmiento went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute, Judas Verón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvio Abadia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 42 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Maximiano Delgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiano Delgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. When Silvio Abadia came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Belgrano de Pibasog fans jumped to their feet. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Judas Verón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Belgrano de Pibasog were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eustaquio Fortun took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Eustaquio Fortun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Belgrano de Pibasog's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eustaquio Fortun in the 74th minute. The corner led Belgrano de Pibasog's Eustaquio Fortun to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Judas Verón came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eustaquio Fortun ran over to the corner to take the kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Abadia couldn't finish the play. Orlando Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Belgrano de Pibasog were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
