After 18 minutes, Samuel Navarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colombia and the Cambrian Mountains players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Samuel Navarro got a free kick in the 18th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Syvwlch Lloyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilton Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilton Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Marcelino Granados shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Abram Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Dagonet Flannelly kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Cambrian Mountains's Isaac Bohlin was substituted for Dagonet Flannelly. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. With 51 minutes on the clock, Evrei Futter commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Cambrian Mountains:s Wilton Dracena showed great skill when he stopped Axel Montenegro:s penalty. After 53 minutes Cambrian Mountains's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Luis Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilton Dracena quite easily take care of the ball. Santino Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilton Dracena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 63rd minute of play forced Cambrian Mountains's goalkeeper Wilton Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilton Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Cazalla in the 64th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascual Carballar's late challenge caught a Cambrian Mountains's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Pascual Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Gheondea hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Cambrian Mountains's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Colombia had won, even though Cambrian Mountains had held more of the ball.
