In the 8th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Peru's Luz Tejedor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorato Primo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Primo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Dario Abastas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 20th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Primo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's attentive Joaquin Prats managed to snatch the ball when Dario Abastas made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Honorato Primo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 26th minute of play. Filomeno De Putter hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Honorato Primo was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After having played for 35 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Primo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorato Primo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Honorato Primo in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filomeno De Putter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. The throw-in from Dario Abastas in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's Honorato Primo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 70th minute of play. After 71 minutes C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Primo having to make a save. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. 86 minutes into the match, Antonio Tenorio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorato Primo. C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Tenorio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 88 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorato Primo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Honorato Primo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's goalkeeper Honorato Primo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C. A. Adestiempo Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Milagros Fraga scored to the left of an out of position Honorato Primo, making the score, 0-4. The C. A. Adestiempo Juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
